Robert (Bob) Roe is Managing Director and Co-Founder of Acuity CxO, LLC. Bob has over 40 years of business experience, including:
- 19 years of public accounting experience, much of it as a partner at a public accounting firm in Minneapolis
- President and principal of Uniglobe Travel (Midwest) from 1991 to 1997, during which time the company grew from a start-up to $87 million in annual sales and was sold in 1997
- Financial and management consultant for a variety of organizations ranging from start-ups to troubled businesses to mid-sized international organizations from 1997 to 2010, performing projects that included:
- Assisting client companies in securing and restructuring debt and equity funding
- Serving as CFO for a NASDAQ-traded public company
- Completing approximately 15 merger/acquisition transactions, including the acquisition of a Dutch river cruise line and the purchase of a group of hotels from the government of Serbia
- Managing the turnaround and sale of a technical training and development company with operations in the U.S. and Europe
- Directing organizational restructuring and alignment to improve client company profitability
- Providing expert witness services and testimony in over 50 cases in federal and state courts
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater, Bob is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Forensic Accountant, and holds the designation of Certified in Financial Forensics from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Bob focuses his efforts on start-up enterprises, financially stressed organizations, and forensic accounting.
Laura Roe is Managing Director and Co-Founder of Acuity CxO, LLC. Laura brings over 30 years of business experience, including:
- 20 years as a commercial lending officer with several organizations ranging from national banks to community banks, during which time she provided financing to a variety of companies ranging from one-person service firms to medium-sized manufacturing firms to multi-national corporations
- Real estate development where she has been responsible for negotiating and financing over $1 billion in real estate projects, including:
- The acquisition of the Kodak Theater, the Renaissance Hotel, and surrounding retail area in Hollywood
- The construction of Austin and Omaha Hilton Hotels
- The construction of San Antonio and Denver Hyatt Hotels
- The construction of limited service hotels on three U.S. Army bases
- The construction of several privatized military housing communities in partnership with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force
- The overall management responsibility for over 30 operating and single-purpose entities
- The formation of Acuity CxO in 2008 where she has thus far focused her attention on interim and contract services to Texas-based hard money lenders and various merger/acquisition projects
A graduate of National University, Laura focuses her efforts on structuring debt financing, real estate finance and work out, and public-private ventures.
